New Cannabis Cosmetic Skincare Products Are Coming To Neiman Marcus Stores At Select Locations

As the healthcare market has clearly found a way to apply CBD to their products, that has not stopped brands outside of the industry from taking a similar path. Neiman Marcus, which is know for their role in high fashion, has decided to adapt their luxury brand to include cannabis as part of the beauty line of products.

Cannabis is non-toxic and has already been adapted for many skincare products for its nourishing qualities. However, Neiman Marcus’s move to add these types of remedies to their own store pushes CBD into mainstream uses.

Beauty buyer of Neiman Marcus, Kim D’Angelo, said in a press release, “Cannabis beauty brands are becoming increasingly popular and CBD products are the next big thing in beauty.” This popularity has led stores like Neiman Marcus to become interested as well. The small players have helped with the progress of making CBD a niche treatment, but mainstream players are truly the way to make the market more widely accepted.

Sephora took a similar route in September, choosing to develop multiple products of their own with the use of hempseed oil, which is legal and slightly different from CBD. This inclusion makes it possible for every state’s stores to carry the remedies. However, Neiman Marcus will be limited to only the states with more lenient laws regarding cannabis, which means they will not be able to sell it within their home state, which is Texas.

With this move, experts believe that more companies will start offering CBD infused in almost all types of products, like food, drinks, and the agriculture industry, according to a consultant named Dave Donnan. In an interview, he said, “Every retailer we have talked to is looking at it. They just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.” Donnan expects that the influx of these remedies will likely happen when and if the FDA chooses to become more relaxed in their regulations.

Presently, Neiman Marcus can sell their CBD products at locations in Boston, Denver, Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, and San Francisco. There is also a new launch of a New York location, though consumers that live in states that allow CBD can purchase from Neiman Marcus online.
