Lord Jones CBD Products Get Primetime Exposure at Golden Globes for Celebrities in High Heels
The award season is in full swing, and the red carpet will soon be flooded with celebrities, posing for pictures, and accepting the awards for their amazing work. However, one of the parts to dressing up for the events is often strikingly painful and high heels. Stylists have tried many methods over the years to bring more comfort to the use of stilettos.
Moleskin, gel inserts, and many other materials to make these kinds of shoes as comfortable as they are beautiful, but there are some stars choosing something to support them a little differently – cannabis. Before jumping to conclusions, these stars are not lighting up in their limousine’s beforehand (as far as we know). E! style expert Zanna Roberts Rassi spoke to Page Six Style to explain how they are treating their body instead. “One great trick that a lot of celebrities in LA use is CBD cream on their feet because it numbs the pain. The Lord Jones cream is one that Michelle William swears by.”
Karla Welch has mentioned the same type of remedy. The stylist of names like Tracie Ellis Ross, Elizabeth Moss, Sarah Paulson, and others has said,
“A shout out to my friends @thelordjones. Their pain and wellness cream with CBD is the absolute CURE for aching feet on the red carpet.” Continuing on this topic, Welch said, “Don’t worry, your feet aren’t going to get high, but this miracle cream is going to make a long #GoldenGlobes evening much more fun. So, until designers learn how to make a stiletto as comfy as sneakers, @thelordjones is in my styling kit. #thisisnotanad.”
In 2018, Mandy Moore had spoken in favor of using CBD as well in an interview with Coveteur. She said,
“This year, I’m trying some CBD oil on my feet, which my stylist recommended. I asked her if there was some kind of numbing cream, and she was like, ‘No! [Try} Lord Jones CBD oil.’ [So] I could be floating this year.”
CBD stands apart from the effect that THC has because it does not offer the same psychoactive effect that is related to the “high” feeling. There are many affordable options available, though Lord Jones is towards the top of that range at $60.
Speaking to Page Six Style, Dr. Suzanna Levine said,
“CBD applied topically is an excellent way to decrease focal pain. When applied topically, very little CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream, and it can provide a significant reduction in local pain and inflammation.”
Speaking on side effects, Levine commented on how there are very few, but mentioned, “Conceivably, one might have a local reaction in a small minority of patients.”
To curb this risk, it is important to choose CBD manufacturers that are well-known, rather than obscure brands. Furthermore, the concentration of CBD plays a significant role in the reaction. Dr. Levine commented, “Generally, the higher the amount of CBD, the better. But also, the more expensive.”
There are two different options that consumers can take when they want to eliminate the pain – apply it before the heels even go on or apply it once they start to ache. Dr. Levine noted, “CBD does not act instantly after topical application, so if you are fairly sure that you will develop pain in a certain area, it does make sense to apply the CBD prophylactically,” like on the balls of the feet or on the toes.
